GI Joe – The Rise of Cobra is an action movie with excellent special effects. Directed by Stephen Sommers, this movie has been a long time coming and it definitely delivers. The cast is excellent and they all give excellent performances. This movie answers many of the questions about the origins of GI Joe. Channing Tatum plays the main character of Duke and Marlon Wayans brings his comic genius to the role of Ripcord, Duke’s best friend. They both have great chemistry together. Sienna Miller plays Duke’s love interest in the film. Sienna is normally cast as the good girl, but in this movie she struts as Duke’s exaltation “ went wrong, proving that hell really doesn’t have the fury a woman despises. ”

Dennis Quaid plays General Hawk, who is the one who recruits Duke and Ripcord into the GI Joe Team. Before Duke and Ripcord can qualify to join the Joes, General Hawk puts them through a series of rigorous tests to prove they are worthy of being Joes. Naturally they pass and enter. His first mission, of course, is to save the world from villains like Christopher Eccleston, who lives up to his baddie image as James MCCullen, who is the creator of a Nanno technology that can control people’s minds to the point in that they do not feel pain and without remorse. This could prove deadly to the world if they are successful. Your plan is to build an army of these callous soldiers. They would be the perfect weapon. MCCullen’s partner in crime is The Doctor played by Joseh Gordon-Levitt, who is not what he seems.

In the end, the GI Joe team saves the day at the last minute. GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra has great special effects along with a dynamic script. The cinematography, especially the scenery in the helicopter shots, is impressive and the computer-generated objects look very lifelike. GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra is definitely a must see. It’s safe to say there will be a sequel. It is a fun movie for the whole family.
