Self-esteem reflects how people value or consider themselves. It is their opinion about themselves in various aspects, for example, if they consider themselves good at a particular job, their beliefs, for example: “I am confident”, “I am the worst in the kitchen”, “I look very good”, “I will never be able to handle this situation” and so on. Self-esteem contributes significantly to the overall development and increases a person’s confidence.

Low self-esteem can lead to dissatisfaction and unhappiness in life. For example, if a child works hard for a test and gets a good enough score, maybe average, but the child is not happy because they have set out to score above average. This can make him or her feel inferior and incompetent. This feeling can also be blown out of proportion when teachers, parents, or other important people in the child’s life become angry, upset, or annoyed by the child’s so-called “poor” performance. These outside influences don’t help and can really bring a child down.

There are several ways to improve self-esteem. First you need to think positively; Never consider yourself inferior to anyone. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, so if you don’t perform well at a job, never compare yourself to others who do great but work harder and don’t give up hope. This may not be your forte, there may be something you do brilliantly, take care of it.

Next, you’ll want to try doing new and different things in your life and discover your strengths and weaknesses and embrace your weaknesses as proudly as you identify your strengths. Nobody is perfect.

Finally, always feel proud of yourself, value your qualities that may be small but very unique. Let’s say you pray before you eat, congratulate wholeheartedly when someone is doing well in life, and help your friends when they need it. Don’t underestimate those insignificant but priceless things in life. See “making mistakes” as another opportunity to learn. Don’t set unreasonable goals; Meet your goals on the premises. Do the smallest things more effectively instead of taking on a huge responsibility.
