Valuables that need to be displayed while protected from dust, moisture, and theft (to some extent) can only be stored in a display case. Typically built to specification, the cabinets are also available in standard sizes, from those that can hold only a few figures to those large enough to display life-size mannequins.

China cabinets

Initially, porcelain cabinets were intended to store fine china, but this is no longer the case. They can display any item as long as it has some value and is unique. Of course, one could store inexpensive objects, but considering that the cost of a well-built porcelain cabinet is not a disposable price, it usually houses unique and valuable objects.

Corner cabinets

Corner cabinets don’t provide a very wide viewing angle, but they do offer much-needed storage space. They are uniquely designed to fit around corners. Small rooms with no space to accommodate traditional or large cabinets can benefit from these helpful cases.

Since corner cases cannot hold too many items, they are best used to display a small or limited number of collectibles in glass-enclosed areas. Enclosed spaces can house trinkets that users are not eager to show off to visitors.

Commercial display cabinets

This is large furniture that is used in commercial establishments such as shops, coffee shops, coffee shops and bakeries. They can also be used at home, but they cost too much and take up a lot of space. Unless one intends to display weapons, drinks, and other large collections, it is advisable to opt for other types of cabinets.

One item cabinets

Priceless individual items are usually displayed in single item cabinets. This differentiates them from other less valuable items. It could be a rare vase, an autographed cricket ball, or a vintage car model that users want to highlight.

Many single-item cabinets have red padded seating places to better draw attention to the item on display. They can also be mounted on the wall or hung from the ceiling.

Shadow boxes

Shadow boxes are usually small cases that show one, a pair, or a group of objects that fit a theme. A good example is the war medals, flags, insignia and other insignia of the armed forces.

Unlike other cabinets, shade boxes can create a more dramatic depth that easily draws attention to exhibits.

Shelving

These are open cabinets with no doors, glass, or back. Although not a true cabinet, they are used to display lesser valuables such as globes, family trophies, and old photographs. Rectangular shelves can generally also be circular, square, or oddly shaped.
