The smile of a tiny baby in sleep is often referred to as “talking to the angels” and it may be true. Who are these angels who entertain our newborns? If they speak to us as when we are a small baby, where do they go as we age, as we do?

That ‘higher consciousness’ that many try to connect with is also the ‘parking angel’ that guides us to the perfect and safe place to park in a crowd, the one who whispers, “Take a different route today” who apparently knows that the route regular could have been disastrous for us. The angels that surround us, whisper in our ears, raise the alarm for no apparent reason, they are with us from the beginning. Newborns have not been told that they are not real and are easily recognized, especially during bedtime, when we enjoy a different conscious state of mind. Sleep makes the world go away, for a while. But young children and certainly adults are wiser … aren’t they?

As children we knew that what we believed was real, we were never afraid to dream and surely we were not afraid to express those big dreams. And then a joker by the name of reality appeared on the scene in the form of trusted adults who warned us that those things weren’t real, we were imagining or even being dishonest about those strange angels, dreams and stories. What we “knew” quickly leaked through the lens of cynical adults who had long since stopped believing. But they were wrong.

The practice of hasty dreams has been instilled in most adults; we become adept at being cynical and not believing in everything that cannot be processed through the filters of what we now believe. Is it any wonder that so few dare to dream and believe in them? There is a very simple explanation of who these ‘angels’ are; they are integral parts of you, the parts that remain with you always, but not enclosed in the human body. If all your parts were contained in your body, you would look like an angel, a being of light. The human body cannot contain all the parts of who we are.

The parts that are outside of us are identifiable; the innate that surrounds us and protects each one of us, warning of the danger that surrounds you, diseases that require attention and people in your environment whose intentions are potentially harmful. They are the ‘parking angel’, the sixth sense, the intuitive part of you, the higher self or the higher consciousness that imparts information that is always benevolent because it comes from a part of you that exists in a higher consciousness.

Everyone who still believes in dreams, dreams and the ability to achieve their highest goals is very intuitive. They have departed from these warnings about what is real or not real, understanding that some people will consciously choose to sleep through their life experience; but not them. They have re-connected with those parts of themselves and trust the inner guidance they receive. They are intuitive, because they listen and believe in those gut feelings (the most reliable, coming from the innate), the feeling of just knowing, or a response to a problem received in the time of sleep.

We call them intuitive or psychic because they know things that we apparently cannot know. Intuitive people understand that the same higher consciousness that surrounds us all is willing to communicate with those who are willing to help convey the important messages. Can you imagine how much better life could be if everyone re-established the line of communication with the best part of themselves? Fear would become a thing of the past and dreams would soon be a new reality. Just imagine!
