For men, fashion has become an increasingly important factor in their lives, as they no longer settle for their moms, wives, or girlfriends buying their clothes. One item of clothing that seems to be relegated to Christmas or Father’s Day gifts is men’s underwear. Buying the right underwear is a decision that may require a little more thought.

Traditionally, men always wear the same type of underwear that their parents wore, and because men tend to be creatures of habit, they wear the same model of underwear throughout their lives, never trying anything different and They use until they literally fall apart. Which is not surprising when you look at the mind-boggling array of underwear now available for men. Everything seems complicated to make a decision.

Men’s underwear comes in all shapes and sizes, from the embarrassing G string (which needs to be left behind closed doors), to new body-enhancing designs that give men that extra confidence. However, to keep things fairly simple, we will classify men’s underwear into three basic types: boxer briefs, roomy boxer briefs, and skinny briefs.

Here’s an overview of some of the pros and cons of each of these three types of underwear. Hopefully, it will help you select the right pair for your needs, and maybe even help you stop wearing those old-fashioned baggy boxer shorts with the holes.

PANTIES

The briefs come in various styles from the G that we mentioned above and I won’t mention anymore, they come in high cut, low cut, Y-front, full, hipster and jockstrap. The Brief style is out of date, therefore; they are practical and more comfortable than baggy boxers. Briefs offer great support to the genital area. Therefore, it is advisable to equip them when you train or when your job requires long periods of rest. If someone is sitting in front of a computer all day, briefs are likely to be more comfortable as they shape the buttocks and stay in place throughout the day. The same happens with those who practice several sports; the idea of our friend Willy flying from left to right is not very attractive.

On the other hand, many of us complain that our briefs are too tight and do not allow adequate blood circulation. Since everyone is shaped differently, the elastic bands on the briefs may be too tight on the thighs or waist for some, lowering the comfort level of the briefs.

LOOSE BOXERS

Loose boxers also come in a couple of styles, basically long, short, and hipster. Loose boxers are also considered past, although they have improved over the years. Most high-end brands have a line of loose boxers that are visually appealing. They are usually black, white or gray with the brand name written around the waist. One little suggestion is to stay away from plaid boxer briefs, that is if you are concerned about style.

In terms of comfort, this is probably the most relaxed type of underwear to wear while sleeping. They offer poor support and are therefore not recommended for training or for those who remain seated throughout the day. When sitting down, loose boxers will wrinkle along the thighs and most of the time will cause a lumpy feeling under the pants. Nothing worse than having a good pair of dress pants ruined by a bundled pair of loose boxers.

Let’s not forget that wearing loose boxer briefs often results in a boxer feel, simply because the loose fabric ends up where it’s not supposed to.

TIGHT BOXERS

Like the other two styles, the fitted boxers also come in various styles, long and short leg, hipster, and waist. We recommend fitted briefs to any man looking for style and comfort. From personal experience, these are the most comfortable to wear regardless of your activity. All of today’s top designers have a full assortment of skinny briefs. Many will say that they are intended for use by younger men, but the tight boxer is becoming the preferred underwear of all generations.

Tight boxers offer great support for training and for those who sit all day. They stay in place, fit nicely around the thighs, and shape the body perfectly. It’s important to try some brands, because some will fit your waist better, while others will fit your thighs.

We hope these simple tips help you select the underwear that is most stylish, most comfortable, and most importantly, that suits your needs. Just buy a pair of each, try them on different days during different activities, and then choose the best one that you are comfortable with.
