I am often asked what I consider to be the best approach to starting a blog, so here are my top 3 blogging tips for beginners to consider before blogging.

Blogging tips for beginners: daily blog.

The old saying goes “practice makes perfect” and this is certainly the case when you start blogging. One thing to keep in mind when you’re first starting out is that chances are (if you’re not already an established writer) your first few blogs won’t be that great. However, the more blogs you write, the better you will become.

So the first blogging tip for beginners to follow is to blog daily as this will not only improve the overall quality of your blogs but also help them rank faster in search engines.

Blogging Tips for Beginners: Be Yourself

The second blogging tip for beginners to remember to blog in your own individual style. There’s always the temptation to copy the style of other bloggers you might enjoy reading, but doing so will result in you not being able to make that all-important connection with your reader. After all, one of the real keys to blogging success is writing in your own individual style, using your own unique content. Readers tend to follow blogs because they prefer the style and more personal content they contain.

If you are in doubt about what to write, why not write a review about a YouTube video that you liked, or write about a news story that interests you, or you could even write about a hobby or interest, like cooking or soccer, as chances are there are hundreds of other people who will also share your love for it. You could even create a blogging advice site to provide an opportunity for others to interact with you on a given topic.

Blogging Tips For Beginners: What Are The Best Blogging Sites To Use?

It’s all very well deciding to start a blog, but often the most difficult thing can be deciding how and where to post it, especially if you’re a complete “newbie” to blogging.
So what are the best blogging sites to start with?

The temptation is to use the free blogging sites… after all, you can post your blogs for free, and to be honest, there are some great free blogging sites you can use.

However, it’s important to remember that free blogging sites make their money from advertisers who pay to promote their products or services on their sites. With this in mind, there’s a good chance your blog won’t even get read if the reader’s eye is distracted by the advertiser’s promotion…resulting in readers clicking through to the advertiser’s website instead of reading. your blog.

So maybe not a great move for anyone who wants their blog to be read, especially if you’re blogging to make money.

Another disadvantage of using free blogging sites is that you will be restricted with the overall design of your blog and you will not be able to customize it as your own.

So what other alternatives are there?

The best blogging advice I could offer to beginners is to choose a blogging platform that is easy to use and affordable. Some sites like WordPress offer a cheap and easy way to start a blog and are extremely popular, but even these sites can sometimes be a bit tricky for beginners, especially when it comes to using additional plugins etc.

My advice would be to shop around as there are other low-cost blogging platforms out there that offer both businesses and individuals the opportunity to run a high-ranking blog that can be customized to your own requirements.

Some of these blogs even offer 100% affiliate commissions for any new member who also signs up to blog, so it’s worth looking out for these types of blogging opportunities.

So, I personally find these to be the 3 most important blogging tips for beginners to follow when starting a blog.
