In this article we ask: What ARE the secrets of Amway Quixtar? What’s the verdict: scam or legit?

business model

In some circles, Amway was dubbed “The Granddaddy of Network Marketing/Multi-Level Marketing” (MLM). The reason for this is simple. After many debates and court battle scars; Amway has gone to great lengths to show that MLM is not a pyramid scheme. The nature of Amway Quixtar is MLM and direct sales. And Quixtar’s main difference compared to Amway is that when distributors buy products from Quixtar, they order directly online instead of from the person who recruited them. Representatives are called Independent Business Owners (IBOs) and can earn various forms of commission based on personal volume of products sold, products sold by their recruits, and various leadership bonuses.

History

Two Dutch boys (friends since school, buddies in the military, and former business partners in a boating and hamburger business) Richard DeVos and Jay Van Andel were introduced to Nutrilite Products Corporation in 1949. This California-based company developed the first multivitamin to be marketed in the US By 1958, Van Andel and DeVos had recruited more than 5,000 dealers. Due to some concerns about Nutrilite’s stability, these two Dutchmen and their top distributors formed The American Way Association and searched the market for additional products. Their first product was a liquid organic cleanser called Frisk, later renamed Liquid Organic Concentrate or LOC, one of their flagship products to date.

Amway Services Corporation (Amway is an abbreviation for “American Way”) purchased a 50% interest in Atco Manufacturing Company (the manufacturer of LOC) and changed its name to Amway Manufacturing Corporation. In 1964, Amway Sales Corporation, Amway Services Corporation, and Amway Manufacturing Corporation merged to form Amway Corporation. In 1972, Amway purchased control of Nutrilite and then full ownership in 1994. Amway’s border expansion was as follows: Australia in 1971, Europe in 1973, parts of Asia in 1974, Japan in 1979, America America in 1985, China in 1995, Africa in 1997, India and Scandinavia in 1998, Russia in 2005, and Vietnam in 2008. In 1999, the founders of Amway established a new holding company, called Alticor, and launched Quixtar, which was one of the three sister companies.

Quixtar reported, in 2006, that the average monthly gross income for IBOs was $115. With seminars and rallies to motivate and encourage IBOs, a loyal following is reported despite minimal compensation and very part-time.

Products

On the Amway.com site, you will find these main product categories: nutrition, beauty, bath and body, home and other products including gifts, B2B products, food and beverages, to name a few. In some countries the brand names may be different from Nutrilite, Artistry, Satinique and eSpring in the US or hassle? You are the judge of this.

conclusion

Yes, it is clear that Amway has stood the test of time and some people have made money there. Cleaning products are concentrated and therefore last a long time for the customer. Also, hats off to Amway for paving the way, in some respects, long ago when there was less understanding of network marketing.
