Kirti was on her way home when she saw a sign outside the city museum.
The city museum had organized a competition in which the participants had to build models of outer space. I was really looking forward to participating in the competition. Stars, planets, and other space objects have always intrigued her.
Kriti received help from her father to build a beautiful model of the solar system. He used cardboard to make the ‘Milky Way’ and some pieces of paper to cut out the orbit of the solar system. He used artificial clay to make planets of different sizes and then painted them with watercolors to make them look real and accurate. She created parts of the spaceship very carefully.
At the competition, the judges were impressed by his work and knowledge. He explained everything very precisely. He expressed his wish to the judges to explore outer space one day.
The judges awarded him the first prize and said that he should grow up to fulfill his dream.
Kirti was delighted. The words touched her heart. She made up her mind…
“When I grow up, I’ll be an astronaut.”
