One of the easiest ways to learn to lucid dream tonight is by using the DILD method. This stands for dream-induced lucid dreaming. Interesting name huh. I bet that doesn’t make much sense to you at all. Neither did I the first time I read it. All it really means is that your lucid dreams will start out as normal, uncontrollable dreams.

In other words, you will be having a dream and then within it you will realize that you are dreaming and it is that realization that will make you lucid. It probably sounds confusing to get this method right too, but it’s actually quite simple. All you need to do is get in the habit of several reality checks. These can be easily practiced during the day. His “waking” day that is.

Things like checking mirrors, digital clocks, book titles, turning on light switches and trying to lean against walls, holding your nose and trying to breathe through it. These things are all the clothes you need to put on with the intention of your dream self doing them regularly in your dreams. The reason is that all of these things will be completely different in the dream world, making it easier for your mind to realize, “Hey, this is a dream. I’m dreaming. Awesome!”

Once you have picked up these clothes in real life, your dream self will take you to your dream world and when you are interacting and doing things in your dream that are completely different from the real waking world, it will be quick for you. Realize that you are dreaming and then take control of it with your conscious mind.

Of course, you need to know exactly what to do for each habit you’ll learn, which I’ll explain in detail in this article. Obviously, these reality checks aren’t the only ways to lucid dream, but they’re some of the easiest to learn, so if you want to get your first lucid dream as soon as you can, you might as well start with these, TRUE?

We will start with the ones that will be most apparent in a dream. Pinch your nose and lean against the walls.

When you cover your nose and try to breathe through it, obviously you can’t. Not in the real world. In your dreams you will find that you can and it is because you are still physically breathing through your nose while you sleep and you will be able to feel these breaths in your sleep even while keeping your nose closed.

Leaning against the walls… back in the real world you’ll end up fine… leaning against him. Unless it’s a very thin wall, just crash into it! In the dream world, you will usually fall straight through walls. Any type of wall you will fall through as if there is nothing there. Again, a pretty obvious sign that you are dreaming and your brain will usually pick up on these signs pretty quickly.

Just keep in mind that every time you do one of these reality checks, ask yourself “Am I dreaming?” It could also make things even easier for your brain to understand, and again, this is a habit you could pick up pretty quickly.
