For Native Americans, the entire culture – religious, economic, social,
technological and political – is based on the concept of a community of beings, or more correctly a community of Being. Each individual – human, animal. plant, and even the forces of nature – are parts of a single living cosmos. Each one has its purpose and its own niche as part of the whole. The individual, the person, is not bent on dominating nature, controlling others, or competing for respect or ownership. Each one strives to perfect their own being in harmony and as part of the whole.
Human rights are not a matter of law granted by the government. they are arts
of one’s duty, and obligation to the Self. Each being, human and superhuman, is responsible for developing not only his own creative powers but those of all others in the universe of which he is a part (15).
The economic-political system of the Native Americans was designed from this
metaphysical understanding. You couldn’t own a property because the property had its own.
being. Even tools, clothing, and utensils had a being and a purpose to fulfill.
His own future and the well-being of his family were not assured by an accumulation
of material wealth but for one’s service to the Self. Elaborate ceremonies were held
developed to provide a wide distribution of food, shelter and other
necessities of life, particularly the elderly and infirm. The dignity of the individual
he earned not by what he possessed, but by what he could give away: his
contribution to society. The great hunter or craftsman had no idea of selling
the product of your work. His duty to be was to create for the benefit of the
community. The natural system was one of cooperation, consensus, and
rather confederation of competition, confrontation and struggle for power.
Variations on this theme were well known in Africa and Asia, as well as in the
Americas. They were the rule rather than the exception before the advent of
European expansion. They are perhaps too idyllic to be copied without changes in
the overcrowded, under-resourced, stressful world we know today. But for
seeing ourselves in the framework of alternative governmental systems, we can
to be able to break the ties that bind us to the dying paradigms of the passing era.
Governance for the New Age cannot be based on the narrow concepts of
government through bureaucratic nation-state hierarchies. The current
the transformation is integral and multidimensional. agree with this
transformation, world governance must be holistic and multidimensional. Us
must recognize the many forces of human governance and build a world that
reflects, promotes and harnesses the emerging spirituality and ethics
affirmation of human rights and human dignity. A future world government can be
represented as a multidimensional network or networks that provide each individual
with many optional paths through which you can provide for your own well-being and
can participate in the control of world affairs.
A multidimensional system of global governance is, in fact, nothing new. World
Religions have never fully surrendered their governing power to
nation states. The new supranational control systems have been created by
multinational corporations that have not only been able to avoid meddling
interference from national governments, but they have probably been a positive force in
avoiding destructive wars between nations in which their financial interests were
involved. Oil-producing countries, through OPEC, added another dimension to
global governance that goes far beyond the borders of the nation-state. Such

promote a global non-governmental system of cooperative self-reliance (21).
To date, few of these non-governmental networks have paid serious attention
to their potential participation in global governance. Those who have the official
association of NGOs with UN agencies, many unsuccessful days have been spent reacting to
empty proposals and hackneyed proposals submitted by the UN committees and
bureaucracies. They have made little effort to create their own initiative to bring
peace and understanding between peoples or between nations. Notable exceptions to

other people-to-people networks can be built as harbingers of the New Age

As transition networks and coverage mature, there is a greater understanding
that self-renewal, local community action, alternative technologies, human rights,
ecological concern and other transformation activities must be linked with
developing concepts for a just world order. It’s not enough to “rearrange the chairs
on the Titanic”. A just world order can only be built by recognizing the radical
reform of human thought that is now taking place all over the planet.

They must be harmonious and unified, and must be rooted in the mind, heart
