Persnickety Clothing is a Made in USA boutique girls clothing brand. Founded just a few years ago, at first it was just a small family business based in Utah. She was a small boutique girls’ clothing company that produced very limited quantities and sold her beautiful girls’ dresses, flared pants, ruffled leggings, and lou lou tops at farmers markets, festivals, and fairs. The two owners, husband and wife, Craig and Corinne, took their five beautiful children with them everywhere and used their love of children as inspiration and motivation for everything they did.
At the same time, Craig and Corrine have always dreamed of helping less fortunate children and their families around the world. During his trip to Nicaragua, Craig met some wonderful people and was inspired to start Persnickety Clothing’s Buy is Give program. Today, the company supports a sewing factory in Nicaragua where it hires local seamstresses to produce high-quality, practical clothing for children in need. For every item of clothing that Persnickety sells from their regular line in the US, they donate an item made in the Nicaraguan factory to children in need.
Fall 2010 was Persnickety Clothing’s first wholesale season. Working closely with representatives from the United States, this girls’ clothing line launched its products in about fifty little girls’ clothing boutiques. Boutique owners, as well as end customers, were captivated by the intricate vintage-inspired designs that were so unlike any other girls’ clothing brand and reflected the very essence of childhood. Today, the brand is sold in hundreds of stores and boutiques across the United States and has a following around the world.
